USES: Boron is used as an oxygen scavenger for copper and other metals. It is used in manufacturing alloys usually to harden other metals. In nuclear chemistry, boron is used as a neutron absorber. In pyrotechnic chemistry, boron is used in ignition formulations, rocket-propellant mixtures and other burn control formulations.
HANDLING: Avoid contact with skin and avoid ingestion. Use dust respirator when handling. Since no exposure limit have been established for Boron by OSHA & ACGIH, we recommend that our product should be treated as a nuisance dust 15 mg/m3. Avoid dusting of Boron because it can spontaneously ignite in air. See SDS for more information.
