USES: Graphite, also referred to as black lead or mineral carbon, is used for "lead" pencils, refractory crucibles, stove polish, as a pigment, a lubricant, and graphite cement. It can also be used for matches and explosives.
HANDLING: Caution: dust mildly irritating to lungs, ventilation required per OSHA and ACGIH limits. Graphite is a good conductor of electricity so exercise caution when handling graphite in areas where contact with electrical circuitry is possible. See SDS for more information.
