PACKAGING:Unlined Metal Drums
USES: Magnesium aluminum alloys are use in pyrotechnic composition such as flash powders for photography. They can be used in paint manufacturing, chemical reaction in making hydrides of lithium and boron, and in various thermite processes.
HANDLING: If any operation involving this product may result in a suspension of alloy powder or dust, precautions must be taken to avoid such suspensions. Care in handling should be used to avoid dust suspensions. No smoking, open flames, or sparks shall be permitted in areas where magnesium aluminum alloys are present. Automatic sprinklers are not recommended in areas where magnesium alloy powder is handled or used. Since no exposure limit has been established by OSHA and ACGIH, we recommend that our product be treated as a nuisance dust 15mg/m3. See SDS for more information.
