USES: Potassium Dichromate is a corrosion inhibitor. It is also used in manufacturing of other potassium/chromium compounds, manufacture of frits, glass and glazes. It can also be used for pyrotechnic and photographic applications.
HANDLING: Store material in tightly closed containers. Avoid contact with reducing agents. Good personal hygiene and housekeeping care important when handling any chromium compound. Carcinogen. OSHA PEL and ACGIH TLV-TWA have been established for this compounda t 1mg/m3as CrO3 and as .05mg/m3 as Cr. This product may be subject to SARA section 313 reporting requirements (Cr 35.33%).
