USES:   Tetranitromethane is used as an oxidizer in rocket propellants. It also increases the octane
number of diesel fuels and is a reagent for detecting double bonds in organic compounds. |

HANDLING:   Avoid contact, inhalation and ingestion. Oxidizing
agent and contact with reducing agents (fuels or combustibles) is to be avoided.
Very serious explosion and fire hazard in contact with organic materials and, or
other reducing agents!!! Suspected carcinogen. OSHA PEL and ACGIH TLV-TWA have been
established at 8mg/m3 for OSHA and 0.005ppm for ACGIH. See MSDS for more
